Bournemouth Sports Football Club (BSFC) is an FA accredited Club. This accreditation is only awarded to clubs who provide a high quality football experience, are well run, sustainable, and place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount.
There are currently 25 teams at BSFC, who play across both the Dorset and Hampshire leagues and have enjoyed equal amounts of success over recent years.
THE YOUTH SECTION
The club is committed to supporting participation in grassroots football at all levels, with a focus on instilling a love and passion for the game.
The Youth Section comprises 17 teams from U6 to U16, including a girls’ team at U16. Teams play in the Bournemouth Youth Football League and the Dorset league. Training is at Chapel Gate.
The aim of the Youth Section is to develop football skills in a fun and safe environment, thereby creating successful, disciplined teams. We are keen for our youth players to develop their abilities sufficiently to allow them to succeed in making the transition from youth to adult’s football at BSFC.
A stable Management Committee, which is led by the club chairman, Steve Main, underpins and coordinates the Section. Steve can be contacted by email at steve.main@bournemouthsports.co.uk or by phone on 07711 149912 for further information should you be interested in joining the club as a player, coach or volunteer.
THE LADIES’ SECTION
Bournemouth Sports Ladies FC was formed in May 2013 to provide greater opportunity for women to become involved in football in a supportive and co-operative environment.
The Ladies’ first team plays at Tier 6 of the Women’s Football League (WFL) in the Southern Region Division 1 South. The Ladies’ Reserves play in the Hampshire County Division 2.
Matches are played on Sunday afternoons and training is at Chapel Gate.
Players of all abilities are welcome to join training as the club looks to fulfil its aspirations to reach Tier 5 of the WFL pyramid and to increase female participation in grassroots football.

Three further teams play in the Dorset Football League: Bournemouth Sports Reserves in Division 1, Bournemouth Sports Lions in Division 2 and Bournemouth Sports Phoenix in Division 3.
On Sundays, Bournemouth Sports Mercury plays in the Bournemouth Hayward Sunday League Division 2.
Training is at Chapel Gate. We welcome new players keen to experience competitive football within a positive environment, and coaches, volunteers and sponsors who can help the club develop and progress through our local and regional leagues.
We are particularly open to individuals and organisations interested in introducing veteran’s football and football for people with disabilities to BSFC. For further information, contact Amanda Main, the club secretary, by email at secretary@bournemouthsportsfc.co.uk or the club chairman Steve Main.
